Foundry 780 Design is a small, Edmonton-based maker business focused on custom 3D printing, illuminated displays, functional pieces, and one-of-a-kind projects.
I’m Shawn, the designer and maker behind it. What I enjoy most is taking something that starts as an idea, a reference image, or a problem that needs solving and figuring out how to turn it into something real – whether that means printing an existing model or designing, assembling, wiring, and finishing something completely custom.
From printing to making.
Foundry 780 started with 3D printing, but over time the work grew beyond simply producing existing models. More projects began involving custom design, functional parts, lighting, assembly, electronics, and the kind of problem-solving that comes with making something that doesn’t already exist.
In 2026, that evolution became Foundry 780 Design – a name that better reflects the mix of digital design, fabrication, and hands-on finishing that goes into the work today.
